I've been where you are!

I know how frustrating it can be to filter through all the contradicting information you hear about “fitness” or “being fit”.  Fitness is sometimes confusing and it’s different for everyone and in fact, what I have found is that most people don’t want to talk about fitness, they just want to be able to move without limitations. 

Simply put, there isn’t a one-sized-fits-all fitness plan.  The problem is that those in the world of fitness are using the wrong word to describe what people, like you, really want.

In the Hive Movement program, you will get a tailored approach to understanding functionality! The circumstances in your life are unique, so why wouldn’t your program reflect that?

Why I'm the teacher for you

Helping you succeed and setting the stage so you can shine is a passion of mine.  I have spent years volunteering, mentoring, and facilitating community activities so you, and people like you, can learn and grow.

Why? 

 

Because I had been self-deprecating, defeatist, and wholly unappreciative of the life I was living.  I had been the victim of the stories I told to myself and others.  I had lacked confidence, depending on friends and family to tell me my actions were okay before I acted. I had watched loved ones neglect their health for years resulting in untimely loss.  I had neglected my own health because of apathy, confusion, depression, grief, and because I did not know better.

 

After many trials and errors and lapses in judgement, I uncovered what works for MY life and want to teach you how to do the same.

This is a tailored approach to movement and functionality so you can experience freedom from limitations.  My goal is to teach you how to navigate the world of health and fitness by giving you tools, a common vocabulary, and resources to make sustainable and healthy choices. 

I want YOU to be the champion of YOUR fitness!

  • What is Hive Coaching?
    This is the start of a journey through inquiry which aims to help you acknowledge the stories you have been telling yourself resulting in holding yourself back. In Hive Coaching, I will guide you through uncovering the meaning you derive in life and amplifying social aspects of your life as you start on your wellness journey.
  • What is coaching?
    An opportunity for you to explore your edges with someone guiding the way.
  • Who is coaching NOT for?
    Everyone enjoys the benefits of different coaches throughout their lives – sometimes they just do not consider them coaches. A friend, confidante, or teacher can play the role of coach – even you can, too. Coaching is for everyone.
  • You do not have any coaching credentials, why should I trust you?"
    Through experience comes the privilege to speak about personal triumphs and failures and use those lessons to coach others. The paths I have taken, the lessons earned, and the many times I have failed are all part of what I will share as you start your journey to be a stronger and healthier you.
  • Why are your coaching sessions between 20 and 30 minutes?
    My goal is to provide services that are easily accessible – even to the person who works 10-12-hour shifts; Shorter sessions allow you to fit this in your schedule more easily.
  • $40 for 20 minutes is too expensive for me, but I still want coaching. Do you have a payment plan available?"
    Personal development and growth membership tiers are available which lessen the cost and increase the value for you. If you are experiencing a particular hardship, I want to hear about it to determine how we can still work together.
  • What can I hope to learn from you as my coach?
    Hopefully, nothing. It is my belief that YOU have the answers to the issues in your life and it is my honor to help you uncover what you seek through targeted inquiry.
  • What time commitments will I need to engage with you in Hive Coaching?
    The available times for our sessions are shown on the website and you can book your sessions at your convenience. I recommend meeting once per week, and in some cases, once every two weeks.
  • How will I know when I no longer need coaching?
    When you begin, you will answer targeted questions and perform a goal setting exercise meant to articulate your needs, wants, and current state of being. This will guide you in understanding if you have gotten everything you want from coaching.
